Itinerary
Day 1: Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef
7:30-8 am: Pickup from your Cairns city accommodation (if booked) and check-in at our dive centre on Draper Street.
8:30 am: Depart from Cairns Marina aboard SeaQuest, heading to the stunning Great Barrier Reef.
10 am: Arrive at the reef for your first snorkelling or diving experience.
12 pm: Enjoy a delicious lunch while relocating to a second dive/snorkel site.
12:30 pm: Dive or snorkel again at this new location.
2:30 pm: Transfer to OceanQuest and settle into your cabin.
3:30 pm: Dive or snorkel again in the reef’s wonders.
6 pm: Dinner is served onboard.
6:30 pm: Option to enjoy a liveaboard evening dive or relax onboard.
8 pm: Dessert time!
10 pm: Bar closes, time to rest for the next day.
Day 2: Explore the Reef
7:30 am: Start your day with breakfast.
8:30 am: Dive or snorkel in the clear reef waters.
10:30 am: Dive/snorkel again at another reef site.
12:30 pm: Lunch onboard OceanQuest.
3:30 pm: Another dive/snorkel session to explore more.
6 pm: Dinner time.
6:30 pm: Briefing for a thrilling night dive, Sharks in the Dark, or fluorescent dive.
8 pm: End the day with dessert.
10 pm: Bar closes as you rest up for another adventurous day.
Day 3: More Reef Exploration
7:30 am: Breakfast.
8:30 am: First dive/snorkel session.
10:30 am: Second dive/snorkel session.
12:30 pm: Lunch.
3:30 pm: Third dive/snorkel session.
6 pm: Dinner.
6:30 pm: Briefing for night dive/Sharks in the Dark/fluorescent dive.
8 pm: Dessert.
10 pm: Bar closes.
Day 4: Farewell to the Reef
7:30 am: Breakfast.
8:30 am: Last dive/snorkel session.
10:30 am: Final dive/snorkel of the trip.
12 pm: Check out and say goodbye to OceanQuest.
12:30 pm: Enjoy lunch before boarding the transfer vessel.
3 pm: Depart the Outer Barrier Reef.
5 pm (approx.): Return to your accommodation in Cairns.

Important Information
- Diving Requirements: Introductory Divers must complete a Dive Medical Questionnaire to ensure they can safely scuba dive. Certain medical conditions or medications may prevent individuals from diving unless they possess a current Queensland Diving Medical Certificate. Conditions such as heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, or diabetes can be potential disqualifiers.
- Certified Divers: Certified Divers are required to provide proof of their diving qualification, either in the form of a Dive License (C Card) or Divers Logbook, to our Dive Instructor on the day of the trip. If you have lost your certification card, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to verify your diver rating before your travel date. Ocean Quest reserves the right to refuse a Certified Dive to anyone unable to prove their certification.
